Westboro Baptist Church protesters are planning to appear at a soldier’s funeral today in El Paso.
The church members are protesting the funeral of Staff Sgt. Christopher Diaz, 27, who died during combat in Afghanistan on Sept. 28. The funeral will be held at 10 a.m. today at St. Mark’s Catholic Church, 11700 Pebble Hills, on the East Side. Westboro Baptist Church, based in Topeka, Kan., has a history of protesting military funerals and expressing its anti-homosexuality beliefs makes me sick.
